Library Services

North Western Library

North Western Library is based in the central west region of New South Wales and incorporates the local government areas of Bogan, Gilgandra, Coonamble and Warren. It was established in 1984 and covers an area of 40 241 square kilometres, with a trip around the branches totalling 488 kilometres.

All branches offer a wide range of material including Books, DVD's, CD's, magazines, local history, and talking books in a range of different formats which have been developed for your reading and listening pleasure. Use our online catalogue to browse our collections or to find a specific item you may be looking for.

Joining the Library is FREE! All you need is identification this could be a drivers license, seniors card or medicare card. If a person under the age of 17 wishes to join the library they will need to attend with their parent or guardian and fill in a junior membership form.

You can borrow a maximum of 15 items per library card, with a further restriction of 2 DVDs per card.

Opening Hours

10am - 5pm,  Monday to Friday
10am - 1pm,  Saturday
Closed Sunday.

Please note that the Library closes from 12pm to 1pm on Wednesday to Friday.
