Waste and Recycling

Do you need to get rid of or recycle rubbish?  There are a number of ways that you can dispose of your waste or recycle in the Warren Shire.

  • The Ewenmar Waste Depot (Warren Tip) opens at 9.00am and closes at 6.15pm - seven days per week.  The tip is located on the Oxley Highway approximatley 4km from town.
  • There is a Used Oil Collection facility at Warren Depot in Dubbo Street. Find out more by using the Used Oil Collection link below.
  • Recycle your mobile phone via MobileMuster. Find out more by using the MobileMuster link below.

Cover and Secure Your Waste

In an effort to reduce roadside litter and improve road safety, Council is asking residents to cover all loads when taking rubbish to the landfill site.

The only safe and reliable way to transport rubbish in trailers, trucks or utes is to properly secure your load under a tarp. The tarp must be secured tightly with rope so that materials are not lost or fall out.

State law requires that all loads be covered and secured properly to prevent loss of materials. Drivers can be fined $344.00 on the spot, if their load is uncovered and not secure.

So a friendly reminder to all residents, please 'cover your load' and help us to protect health and safety and ensure a clean and tidy community by covering your load.

Fire Danger Periods

The Ewenmar Waste Depot will be closed when fire danger rating is SEVERE, EXTREME or CATASTROPHIC.
