Tiger Bay Wetlands

Located on the outskirts of Warren on the Oxley Highway towards Coonamble is the Tiger Bay Wetlands. Officially opened on Australia Day 1988, a significant expansion and facilities upgrade has since been made to Tiger Bay Wetlands. In December 2010 the project was completed.

The Wetlands are a natural overflow of the Macquarie River system and are home to numerous species of birds and aquatic flora. Features include walking trails, information signage and a bird hide.

Bird species that have been seen at Tiger Bay Wetlands include:
o    Plum-headed finches
o    Spotted Bowerbird
o    Various egret and heron species
o    Ducks
o    Crakes
o    Ibis
