Central-West Orana REZ Landholder Workshops - register now

The Energy Corporation of NSW is hosting two online workshops to explain how the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone will operate and what this means for landholders and farmers in the Central-West Orana region. These workshops are scheduled to take place on 30 September 2021 (10am - 11:30am) and 1 October 2021 (10am - 11:30am).
The workshops will include presentations from regulators and subject matter experts on the following topics:
- What is a Renewable Energy Zone and how does it influence land use planning in my area?
- How are projects in a Renewable Energy Zone assessed under the NSW Planning System?
- What steps do developers take when planning a large-scale renewable energy project?
- What types of impacts do renewable energy projects have and how are these managed?
- I am interested in hosting a project. How should I negotiate with developers?
- Can hosting or being a neighbour to a renewable energy project affect my insurances, land rates or agricultural practices?
- What are shared community benefits and how can I be involved?
- Are there practical ways for energy generation and agriculture to coexist?
