ANZAC Day 2024 was commemorated at three services across the Shire, the dawn and eleven am services in Warren and a service at Collie.

It was with pride that I noted so many members of our community, from all age groups, gathering to pay their respects to the brave men and women who have served our country.

Council has recently welcomed a new Roads Infrastructure Manager, Mahmud Kaiser. His expertise is already being well utilised in our Engineering Department.

There is no shortage of projects being undertaken throughout our Shire this month. Work to repair flood damage continues on our roads along with roadside slashing that immediately improves wildlife visibility but will also reduce the summer bushfire risk.

Recently commenced upgrades including the refurbishment of the entrance gate at the Warren Cemetery and BBQ area upgrades at both Oxley Park and the Splash Park.

Amenities upgrades at the Warren War Memorial Swimming Pool are likewise presently being undertaken with the provision of new change rooms, a new canteen and office area and the provision of a club room for the Warren Swimming Club.

Finally, I would like to invite residents to submit their feedback on our 2024/2025 Draft Operational Plan and Estimates, which are now on public exhibition.

Information on how you can share your thoughts can be found on Council's website.
