Water NSW will be hosting a Community Forum in relation to the Macquarie River Re- Regulating Storage Project (Gin Gin Weir) this Wednesday 5th May.  The forum will be held at the Warren Sporting and Cultural Centre, Victoria Park in the upstairs Community Room from 5.30pm until 7.30pm.  Members of the public are of course invited to attend the forum and to listen first hand to some factual information from Water NSW regarding the project.  I will attend along with our General Manager.  Those wishing to attend, should RSVP to Water NSW MRRRS@waternsw.com.au

Warren Shire Council has been invited to make an “Appearance for the Inquiry into Health Outcomes and Access to Health and Hospital Services in Rural, Regional and Remote New South Wales” in Dubbo on Wednesday 19th May.  Council has previously made a written submission to the Inquiry and now has the opportunity to present the case for improved health services in Warren in person.  Councillor Druce and I will avail ourselves of that opportunity.  The Warren Health Action Committee will also have the opportunity to address the Inquiry.

I draw your attention to the Warren Chamber Music Festival that will take place with four different concerts occurring over this coming weekend.  Artistic Director of the Festival, Frances Evans, is to be applauded for putting together a cultural event with artists of the highest calibre making themselves available to perform in Warren and Collie.
