From the Mayor's Desk: June 2025
02 June 2025

As we head into winter, it’s great to see several major Council projects nearing completion. From the new Female Friendly Amenities at Victoria Park and Dog Pound Facility, to bridge replacements at Newe Park and Marthaguy Creek on RR7515 Warren Road and ongoing road safety upgrades across the Shire, we’re making real progress where it matters.
At the same time, we’re just getting started on one of the most important projects for our town’s future, the Warren Levee Bank Rehabilitation and Riverbank Rock Armouring Project. Thanks to funding from the Commonwealth Government under the National Flood Mitigation Infrastructure Program, the NSW Government and the Office of Local Government, we’re investing in infrastructure that will protect homes, businesses, and community spaces for generations.
Behind all of these projects is a simple goal - making Warren Shire a safer, stronger place for the people who live, work and raise their families here. I hope to see many of you at the Warren Show on Saturday 14 June. It’s always a great day to catch up with your neighbours, enjoy all our community has to offer and talk to your local Councillors about the issues that matter most to you. We’ll be at the Council stand all day, come and say hello.
Greg Whiteley, Mayor
