From the Mayor's Desk: March 2024

01 March 2024

This month, our Warren Shire Library re-opened with a newly refurbished entry foyer and lobby, as well as new signage and landscaping. My congratulations go to everyone involved in the project.

It was also positive to see so many community members turn out for the two Regional Drought Resilience Planning Program workshops held in our Shire. It is hoped that the ideas attendees shared across all workshops will help to stem the impacts of future drought on our region.

Council crews have been undertaking major flood restoration work across many of our Shire’s key roads, and heavy patching work is also well underway on the Oxley Highway.

Finally, I encourage all relevant members of the community to share their ideas and contributions as part of our Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) survey before it closes on Friday 8 March 2024.

All feedback is welcome, and you can fill out the digital version of the survey online, or pick up a paper copy from Council’s Administration Building, Warren Shire Library, Nevertire and Collie Hotels.
