We're excited to have Casey Wilde joining us as our new Tourism Information Officer.

A welcome new addition to the Warren Shire Council team, Casey is a long-time local resident who is keen to passionately share all there is to love about our beautiful Shire.

Let’s learn a little more about Casey.

Welcome to the Council team, Casey! What drew you to the role, and what have been your impressions of our organisation so far?

At this stage in my career, I was looking for a change of direction, and the role of Tourism Information Officer has afforded me the opportunity to utilise my existing skills and experience, extensively in hospitality, and develop new skills in marketing, graphic design, visitor servicing and data recording.

As I'm based at the Visitor Information Centre, my direct contact with other council departments has been limited thus far, but I have been made to feel most welcome.

Can you tell us about some of the goals you are hoping to achieve in your new position?

I am excited to be challenged in a new way, each and every day. Every visitor has their own story and my goal is to always meet their expectations for information, while also assisting them to make their own story here in Warren.

What is one superpower that you wish you had?

As a history buff, I would love to have the superpower to be able to teleport to any place or time throughout history.

What is your idea of a perfect day?

A perfect day would involve exploring somewhere new with my children and not having to think about what to cook for tea afterwards.

Tell us the best piece of advice you have ever been given, either personally or professionally.

The best advice: none of this is forever, don’t take yourself too seriously, remember to smile, and most importantly - be kind to one another.

What is something people might not know about you?

I am a big kid at heart and collect old toys.

What do you enjoy most about calling Warren Shire home?

The wide open spaces, the night sky, and most importantly, the community. When times are tough, everyone jumps in to help each other out.
