Roads Report: August 2025 - Post Image

From freight corridors to local road upgrades, Council is continuing its investment in a safer transport network for all road users.

Our road crews have proudly delivered a long-overdue upgrade to the Dubbo Street and Oxley Highway roundabout as a contractor under the Roads Maintenance Council Contract (RMCC). This key intersection in the town’s heart is now refreshed and ready for smoother, safer travel.

Council crews have also completed essential rehabilitation works on the Boothaguy Creek Bridge Approaches along the Oxley Highway (SH11) to further strengthen local road safety and resilience.

Rehabilitation works at the SR58 Nevertire - Bogan Road Rail Level Crossing were completed earlier this month to deliver a safer crossing for vehicles and trains. The upgrade supports the future Inland Flat Route, a safer and flatter freight link between West Wyalong and Narrabri. Within Warren Shire, it includes SR58 Nevertire - Bogan Road, SR59 Tottenham Road, SH11 Oxley Highway, SR91 Industrial Access Road, RR202 Marthaguy Road and RR7515 Warren Road.

Transport for NSW has also commenced essential maintenance at Boothaguy Creek Bridge, approximately 14km north of Warren. Over three weeks, crews will install steel brackets, clear vegetation and carry out routine repairs, most of which will be completed from beneath the bridge.

COUNCIL'S JULY/AUGUST ROADS WORKS PROGRAM

Council’s crews are busy this July/August with a range of road maintenance, rehabilitation, and flood repair projects across key local and regional roads to keep our network safe and reliable.
