Information for the Warren Shire Community regarding Warren Shire Council’s business operations with the lifting of the Stay-At-Home Public Health Order for parts of Regional NSW including the Warren Shire Local Government Area.

Warren Shire Council is able to resume some face-to-face services and in–person operations following the lifting of the Stay-At-Home Public Health Order for parts of Regional NSW, including the Warren Shire Local Government Area as of 12.01am Saturday, 11 September 2021. 

All Council employees will continue wearing masks when interacting with members of the public indoors and while working in shared, indoor spaces (including when sharing a vehicle). All customers are asked to wear masks if engaging with Council staff indoors. 

Kindly continue using the QR check-in at all venues. As COVID-19 is still present in neighbouring communities, this will help with contact tracing, should it be required. 


WARREN SHIRE OFFICE 

Council's Administration Office, 115 Dubbo Street will be open for face-to-face contact from Monday 13 September 2021 at 8.30am. There will be a limit on the number of customers allowed within the building at the same time in order to comply with the ‘four square metre rule’. Mask wearing inside is mandatory. Please note signage at the entrance. QR code check-in/out is required. Customer enquiries and requests for service can still be made by telephone to 02 6847 6600 or by email to council@warren.nsw.gov.au. 

All customers will need to ensure that they are adhering to the Stay-At-Home Public Health Orders of your respective Local Government Area and only attend Council’s Office for essential business. 


WARREN SERVICE NSW AGENCY 

The Service NSW Agency will re-open Monday 13 September 2021 at 8:30am with a limit of three (3) customers within the Service NSW Agency/ Council Administration front foyer during these times. Kindly wait outside using the chairs provided and maintain social distancing while awaiting service. Please note signage at the entrance. QR code check-in/out is required. Mask wearing inside is mandatory. Using your online MyServiceNSW account or calling the Service NSW hotline on 13 77 88 are other options for service. 


WARREN SHIRE LIBRARY 

Warren Library will re-open from Saturday 11 September 2021 at 10.00am with a limit on the number of people allowed inside the building. Please note the signage at the entrance. QR code check-in/out is required. Mask wearing inside is mandatory. Phone 02 6847 6656 if you need to make an enquiry. 


WARREN SPORTING & CULTURAL CENTRE 

Warren Sporting and Cultural Centre including the Gym Facilities will re-open from Saturday 11 September 2021 at 6.00am with a limit on the number of people allowed in the Gym area. Please note the signage at the entrance. QR code check-in/out is required. Mask wearing inside is mandatory. The rules of cleaning equipment after use and classes with a maximum of 20 people must be adhered to. Phone 02 6847 6670 if you need to make an enquiry. 

The Warren Sporting and Cultural Centre will be closed to normal public use during the Covid Vaccination Clinic being undertaken on Thursday/Friday 16/17 September 2021 between the hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm. 


WARREN SHIRE DEPOT 

Warren Shire Depot will re-open from Monday 13 September 2021 at 7.00am. Please note the signage at the entrance. QR code check-in/out is required. Mask wearing inside buildings is mandatory. Phone 02 6847 6647 if you need to make an enquiry. 


HEAVY VEHICLE INSPECTION STATION (HVIS) 

Transport for NSW will be undertaking pre-booked heavy vehicle safety inspections at the Warren Shire Depot from Monday, 20 September to Friday, 24 September 2021. Covid-19 safety measures will be in place by Transport for NSW. The Covid-19 Safety Plan must be adhered to. 


PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT WITHIN OUR PARKS AND GARDENS 

All our Parks are open but currently cannot be used for Community Sport. Playground equipment within our parks and gardens will progressively be opened on Saturday 11 September 2021 with appropriate signage in relation to Social Distancing. Council will continue to provide heavy cleaning of the playground equipment daily. 


WARREN SKATE PARK AND WARREN SPLASH PARK 

The Warren Skate Park and Warren Splash Park will progressively be opened on Saturday 11 September 2021 with appropriate signage in relation to Social Distancing. Council will continue to provide heavy cleaning of the touchpoints on any equipment daily. 


WARREN EWENMAR WASTE DEPOT 

QR code check-in/out is required. Wear a mask and maintain social distancing. 


WARREN GARBAGE PICK UP OPERATING AS USUAL WARREN PUBLIC AMENITIES (PUBLIC TOILETS) 

Open as usual but, will be subject to extra cleaning. 


COUNCIL’S HEALTH AND BUILDING SURVEYOR, DEVELOPMENT COMPLIANCE AND RANGER 

Will continue to carry out regular duties, provided they are able to maintain appropriate social distancing and masks will be worn at all times. This will also be subject to Covid Safety Plans on building sites, and other Covid safe requirements of the Public Health Orders. 


OUTDOOR WORKS PROGRAMS AND FACILITIES MAINTENANCE, (WATER, SEWERAGE, ROADS, PARKS AND FACILITIES) 

Will continue wherever permissible, providing social distancing requirements can be maintained, including the 1 person per 4-square rule on sites. 


CEMETERIES 

Open as of Saturday 11 September 2021 with a funeral limit of 50 persons and appropriate social distancing. 


WARREN WAR MEMORIAL SWIMMING POOL 

Warren War Memorial Swimming Pool is expected to open Saturday 2 October 2021. Please note the signage at the entrance. QR code check-in/out is required. Phone 02 6847 6600 if you need to make an enquiry. 


COUNCIL MEETING 

The 23 September 2021 Council Meeting is expected to be held in person in the Council Community Room, 115 Dubbo Street, Warren. Please note signage at the entrance. QR code check-in/out is required. Mask wearing inside is mandatory. 


VACATION CARE 

Vacation Care at the Warren Sporting and Cultural Centre is programmed for two (2) weeks from Monday 20 September 2021 to Friday 1 October 2021. Care will be prioritised to; 

  • children of essential workers, including health care professionals; 
  • vulnerable and disadvantaged children; and 
  • to children who were previously enrolled if care is required. 

All customers will need to ensure that they are adhering to the Stay-At-Home Public Health Orders of your respective Local Government Area and only attend Council’s Vacation Care if allowed. 

All families are required to contact the Health and Development Services Vacation Care Team on 0427 215 086 for bookings of your children(s).

Covid Testing at the Warren Multi-Purpose Health Service will be by a booked appointment with times between 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm, Monday to Friday. Please telephone ahead on 02 6847 5400 for an appointment, bookings are limited. 

Please obey all road signs and speed limits. 

Heavy vehicles and large motor vehicles will need to park away from the hospital and walk to the hospital and follow signage. There is no room for heavy and large vehicles to turn around on the hospital grounds.
