Warren Shire Council’s business operations during COVID-19 Stay at Home Orders - 6 Sept - Post Image

Due to ongoing concerns about community transmission, Stay at Home Orders in place for Regional NSW have been extended until at least 11.59pm on 10th September 2021, in line with existing orders for the Greater Sydney area.

 

To align with the NSW Government’s Stay at Home Orders for the Warren Shire Local Government Area and to protect Council staff, the following Council businesses will be closed to the public and services are being affected:

 

WARREN SERVICE NSW AGENCY

The Warren Service NSW Agency will be closed from 8.30 am Thursday, 12th August 2021.

 

WARREN SHIRE OFFICE

 The Warren Shire Council Office will be closed from 8.30 am Thursday, 12th August 2021.


WARREN SHIRE LIBRARY

The Warren Shire Library will be closed from 8.30 am Thursday, 12th August 2021.

 

WARREN SPORTING & CULTURAL CENTRE

The Warren Sporting & Cultural Centre will be closed from 8.30 am Thursday, 12th August 2021.

 

WARREN SHIRE DEPOT

The Warren Shire Works Depot will be closed from 8.30 am Thursday, 12th August 2021.

 

HEAVY VEHICLE INSPECTION STATION (HVIS)

Transport for NSW will be undertaking pre-booked heavy vehicle safety inspections at the Warren Shire Depot from Monday, 20th September to Friday, 24th September 2021.  Covid-19 safety measures will be in place.

 

PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT WITHIN OUR PARKS AND GARDENS

Playground equipment within our parks and gardens will be closed from 8.30 am Thursday, 12th August 2021

 

WARREN SKATE PARK AND WARREN SPLASH PARK

The Warren Skate Park and Warren Splash Park will be closed from 8.30 am Thursday, 12th August 2021
 


WARREN EWENMAR WASTE DEPOT OPERATING AS USUAL

QR code check in/out is now required. Please ensure you check in/out when using the facility, wear a mask and maintain social distancing.

 

WARREN GARBAGE PICK UP OPERATING AS USUAL

 

WARREN PUBLIC AMENITIES (PUBLIC TOILETS) 

Will remain open as usual but, will be subject to extra cleaning.

 

COUNCIL’S HEALTH AND BUILDING SURVEYOR, DEVELOPMENT COMPLIANCE AND RANGER

Will continue to carry out regular duties, provided they are able to maintain appropriate social distancing and masks will be worn at all times.   This will also be subject to Covid Safety Plans on building sites, and other Covid safe requirements of the Public Health Orders.

 

OUTDOOR WORKS PROGRAMS AND FACILITIES MAINTENANCE, (WATER, SEWERAGE, ROADS, PARKS AND FACILITIES)

Will continue wherever permissible, providing social distancing requirements can be maintained, including the 1 person per 4-square rule on sites.

Council’s staff are available to answer your calls between 8.30 am – 5.00 pm weekdays throughout this period. 

 

Council’s phone will be diverted to an on-call officer after normal office hours and weekends and public holidays.  In the case of emergencies, please call 000.

 

We ask that the community be patient, remain attentive to social distancing, mask up and take your own precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

 

Council will provide updates as circumstances change.

 

Covid Testing at the Warren Multi-Purpose Health Service will be by a booked appointment with times between 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm.  Please telephone ahead on 02 6847 5400 for an appointment, bookings are limited.

Please obey all road signs and speed limits.  

Heavy vehicles and large motor vehicles will need to park away from the hospital and walk to the hospital and follow signage.  There is no room for heavy and large vehicles to turn around on the hospital grounds.
